Breaking news, folks.
While we were all watching the inauguration, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced a new final rule effective Feb 22, 2021.
Per today’s Federal Register (Jan 20), Vaccine Injury Compensation Program will no longer recognize disabling shoulder injuries related to vaccine administration (SIRVA) and syncope (fainting) as table injuries in the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.
They also deleted Section 17, which required that vaccines approved by the Advisory Committee in Immunization Practices (ACIP) had to be added to the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program within 2 years.
So remember this if you are injured by passing out from a vaccine reaction and hitting your head, or if you have a disabling shoulder injury from vaccine chemicals mistakenly injected into your bursa (instead of muscle tissue) and causing long-term, extremely painful inflammation.
This ruling does not affect COVID-19 vaccines at this time, as they have not yet been approved by ACIP, and are not covered under the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. They are covered under the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program, which has a record of approving compensation for a whopping 8% of filed Injury petitions.
