🗓️ Join us at the Capitol for a roundtable discussion with experts from 9-11 AM.

Thank you to PA State Rep. Natalie Mihalek and Rep. Melissa Shusterman! We are looking forward to it!

If you can’t make it out to the Capitol on Tuesday, May 13th (and even if you can…), here are some ways you can still support these excellent food bills and the event!

During our lobby day on May 5th, we handed out 150 flyers, one to each member of the House of Representatives. We’re asking you to follow up with your legislator to be sure they know these bills are important to your community.

  1. Reach out to your state representative and state senator through phone, email, or social media (you can tag them in our posts regarding this issue.)

  2. Personally invite your legislators to the roundtable on Tuesday via phone, email, social media, or stopping in their local district office (see the flyer below).

  3. Participate in the roundtable in person OR online. If you can, attend in person. If you can’t, watch our social media for information about how to watch online. Usually, this is an option, but the link isn’t always available too far in advance.

Childhood should be a time of energy, growth, and discovery — but for far too many children in Pennsylvania, it’s interrupted by preventable health problems. A recent study tracking child health from 1999 to 2018 found that nearly 1 in 3 children (ages 5–18) had at least one chronic condition.¹ That’s a crisis we can’t ignore.

Good health starts with good choices — and our children deserve better options in the places they spend the most time: their schools and homes. That’s why we’re supporting three critical bills in the Healthy PA Package aimed at protecting our children’s health and laying the foundation for a stronger, healthier future. Learn more about these bills in our blog post HERE.

If you didn’t get to complete our action alert from April, there is still time!

Please call Senator Stefano, Chair of the Consumer Protection & Professional Licensure Committee at (717) 787-7175. You can leave a message after hours. Your message can be as simple as this:
