Two PA Special Elections – Tuesday, March 25, 2005 at 7am – 8pm

1. Do you live in ALLEGHENY COUNTY, House District 35?

If so, you may be eligible to vote in an important PA special election on Tue. 3/25/25 that will determine which party wins the majority in the PA House of Representatives. Currently, there is a tie. This is critical because the party who wins the majority gets to choose the Speaker of the House, appoints heads of committees, and sets the agenda.

This seat is open due to the death of Representative Matthew Gergely. If Republican candidate, Charles (Chuck) Davis, wins this race, Pennsylvania has a greater chance of getting medical freedom legislation passed. Check the list below to see if you live in House District 35.

PA House District 35:

Part of ALLEGHENY County consisting of the CITIES of Clairton, Duquesne and McKeesport and the TOWNSHIP of South Versailles and the BOROUGHS of Homestead, Liberty, Lincoln, Munhall, Port Vue, Versailles, West Homestead, West Mifflin (PART, Districts 03, 04, and 15), Whitaker and White Oak.

2. Do you live in LANCASTER COUNTY, Senate District 36?

If so, you may be eligible to vote in the PA special election on Tue. 3/25/25. This seat is open because PA Senator Ryan Aument stepped down to take a position with U.S. Senator McCormick. Republicans currently have the majority in the PA Senate. Voting for Republican candidate, Josh Parsons, would help solidify votes for medical freedom. Part of LANCASTER County consisting of the TOWNSHIPS of Conoy, Earl, East Donegal, East Hempfield, Elizabeth, Ephrata, Manheim, Mount Joy, Penn, Rapho, Warwick, West Donegal, West Earl and West Hempfield and the BOROUGHS of Akron, Columbia, East Petersburg, Elizabethtown, Ephrata, Lititz, Manheim, Marietta, Mount Joy, Mountville, and New Holland.

PCIC is no stranger to media hype about measles. In fact, our organization formed 10 years ago this month (March 2025) due to legislators attempting to take away exemptions because of – you guessed it – measles hype in the media. In the past ten years, a lot has changed: many more people are aware of the importance of medical freedom, and many more people are questioning v——s and common medical interventions. Yet, it seems that the media hasn’t changed much at all. What we hear is a lot of fear-based dialogue, which appears to be designed to make people feel powerless.

On the contrary, we’d love for you to feel empowered when making these decisions. While we do not give medical recommendations, one thing that we do advise is this: don’t make decisions based on fear. Instead, make your decisions based on facts about benefits, risks, and alternatives. Do enough research that you are comfortable and at peace with your decisions. Also, having support in your decisions can be so important. Find like-minded people to spend time with so that you don’t feel alone.

We recognize that it can be difficult to find solid information online. Many experts and authors have moved their messages to Substack or other platforms that require paid memberships. While that’s understandable, it makes it a bit harder for someone starting out to gain knowledge, especially if one is looking for more detailed and nuanced information than what mainstream sources provide. Regarding measles, we like this article for some great history and facts. Additionally, we have a recommended book list for deeper knowledge about v——s and infections.
