Penn State President Abandons Proper Ethics – Unacceptable!

Penn State President Abandons Proper Ethics – Unacceptable!

Dear Pennsylvania Advocates,

As Penn State prepares to head back in the fall, the administration reiterated in a university-wide town hall meeting that, while vaccines would not be required, the university fully supported all individuals receiving the vaccine when eligible. These announcements were quickly met with a vocal backlash and a petition demanding a vaccine and mask mandate. President Barron soon followed with a policy change based on increased COVID cases. He announced a university mask mandate for all regardless of vaccination status. We expect more announcements to follow…

Medical freedom and informed consent are crucial and we must speak up now before they take another step and cave to those demanding a vaccine mandate.

Please call PSU President Barron’s office, and VP/Provost Jones office and let them know that we do not support a vaccine mandate, and neither should they.  (Sample scripts are below.)

Our points are simple:

  • We strongly oppose a university vaccine mandate for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Mandating and coercing individuals to participate in a medical experiment is an egregious human rights violation.

Please call these two Penn State Contacts:

President, Eric J. Barron

814-865-7611

president@psu.edu

Executive Vice President and Provost, Dr. Nicholas P. Jones

(814) 865-2505

provost@psu.edu or npjones@psu.edu

After you make the calls, write out a quick email (even write out what you said on the call), and send it to both the university President and Provost.  Their offices encourage email because they then have a written record of your comments.

Let’s stand together as we oppose vaccine mandates at Penn State!

Don’t know what to say when you call?  You can keep it simple.  The university President and Provost offices are simply tallying calls for each side of the issue. We are not trying to convince the people who answer the phone, so a simple request or position statement is sufficient.  Fast and easy!

“Hi, I am calling as an [alumni, parent, employee, community member, student] to voice my opposition to a vaccine mandate by the university for faculty, staff and students.”

You can end there, or add a reason. Here are just a couple of examples;

“because, the vaccines are under an FDA Emergency Use Authorization, and under an EUA    vaccines cannot to be mandated.”

“because the vaccines are showing an increasing failure rate with breakthrough cases.”

“because the vaccines are available to anyone who wants them now, and no mandate is necessary”

“because informed consent for medical intervention is required to be compliant with the international human rights requirements”

“because of the legal liability to the university in requiring an experimental vaccination”

“because …..[whatever reason is most important to you]”
