Let’s make sure they know that we ARE ALWAYS PAYING ATTENTION and that BILLS LIKE THIS WILL BE GETTING PLENTY OF PUSHBACK.
What to do:
1. Call Representative Curtis G. Sonney 814-897-2080. Tell his office that you OPPOSE HB1767 AND HB1771.
Rep. Sonney is the Chair of the House Education Committee, and he has the authority to either move these bills or let them die in committee.
HB1767 would require schools to publish on their website the number of enrolled vaccinated and unvaccinated students. This violates the privacy of PA families and it benefits no one. Not every vaccinated student has disease immunity, and not every student using a vaccine exemption is unvaccinated. This bill serves only to create fear and hostility in the school environment.
HB1771 would require students using an exemption to visit a doctor EVERY YEAR to verify that the doctor has “reviewed with the parent information regarding the benefits and risks associated with immunization, including the risks associated with not immunizing a child, consistent with information published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention”. This places undue burden on parents simply for exercising their rights and it infringes upon religious freedom.
2. Inform Your Senator and Representative about these Legislative Concerns. We still have just over 2 weeks until our state legislators are back in session when their time in Harrisburg will limit their availability to meet with constituents. We KNOW that vaccines are a HOT TOPIC in Harrisburg right now, and that is no surprise as the media and Pharma lobbies continue to push a forced vaccination agenda. These new bills further prove the point that the Pharma lobby does not take time off – AND NEITHER CAN WE. Find your legislators’ contact information HERE.
We MUST constantly remind our legislators of the importance of our fundamental rights to bodily autonomy, true (coercion-free) informed consent, and religious freedom – and their obligation to uphold and protect these rights.
Please print out this updated page of Current Legislative Concerns and deliver it to your PA Representative and Senator. If you are still feeling timid about stepping through their office door, go ahead and mail a copy – just be sure to include your name and address so that they know you are a voter in their district! Remember – they work for YOU!
THANK YOU!
